Job summary

Mars Petcare in Illinois is seeking a Receiving/Mill Operator to batch/mix raw materials into high-quality products. You will unload incoming materials, manage bin strategy, run the batching system, and ensure adherence to food safety and GMP practices.

You should have a high school diploma and 1–2 years in manufacturing, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and operate a forklift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years' manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge of personal computers.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good housekeeping and GMP knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate forklift safely.
• Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming raw materials.
• Coordinate major bin strategy.
• Manage hard stock grinder.
• Operate batching system.
• Meet cut-off and tones requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Improve operations through individual and group problem solving.
• Address food safety and quality concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
