RK Industries in Aurora, CO is seeking a Receiving Lead to direct daily receiving, off-loading, put-away, staging and shipping activities on a 100% onsite basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of experience in warehouse, receiving, shipping, inventory, or material handling.
• One year of lead, trainer, or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of receiving, inventory control, material handling, and warehouse safety.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, maintain accurate records, and resolve routine discrepancies.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction to a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Reliable transportation is required for commuting and occasional travel between local corporate offices and job sites during business hours.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in dusty, loud, hot, or cold environments.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. independently.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, or other challenging physical locations.
• Consistent, punctual attendance during core business hours is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily receiving, off-loading, put-away, staging, and shipping activities.
• Coordinate the safe receipt and off-loading of controlled materials with craft personnel and Quality Control.
• Verify incoming materials against work orders and shipping documents; identify and report damage, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Ensure materials are safely handled, stored, moved, and shipped in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Operate approved material-handling equipment, including forklifts, hoists, conveyors, and hand trucks.
• Maintain accurate and timely receiving, shipping, inventory, and material-location records.
• Coordinate return-to-vendor shipments and other assigned material movements.
• Monitor crew safety, productivity, work quality, and task completion; adjust assignments and escalate concerns when needed.
• Train and coach employees on job duties, equipment operation, documentation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and promptly report safety, equipment, or operational concerns.
• Champion RK's safety culture and empower team members to stop work when an unsafe condition is present.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
