Job summary

RK Industries in Aurora, CO, is seeking a Receiving Lead to direct daily receiving operations and ensure material flow, accuracy, and safety. This onsite role leads the receiving crew, coordinates with QC, and maintains records while upholding RK's safety standards.

You will train new hires, assign priorities, and monitor performance to keep projects moving. Minimum three years in warehouse roles and a GED/high school diploma are required, with forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in warehouse, receiving, shipping, inventory, or material handling.
• One year in a lead, trainer, or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of receiving, inventory control, material handling, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and shipping documents, maintain accurate records, and resolve routine discrepancies.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction to a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily receiving, off-loading, put-away, staging, and shipping activities.
• Coordinate the safe receipt and off-loading of controlled materials with craft personnel and Quality Control.
• Verify incoming materials against work orders and shipping documents; identify and report damage, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Ensure materials are safely handled, stored, moved, and shipped in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Operate approved material-handling equipment, including forklifts, hoists, conveyors, and hand trucks.
• Maintain accurate and timely receiving, shipping, inventory, and material-location records.
• Coordinate return-to-vendor shipments and other assigned material movements.
• Monitor crew safety, productivity, work quality, and task completion; adjust assignments and elevate concerns when needed.
• Train and coach employees on job duties, equipment operation, documentation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and promptly report safety, equipment, or operational concerns.
• Champion RK's safety culture and empower team members to stop work when an unsafe condition is present.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
