Job summary

American Expedition Vehicles is seeking a Receiving Lead to coordinate and oversee the receiving function in our distribution center. You will verify shipments, maintain inventory records and direct daily workflow to ensure efficient, accurate and safe handling of merchandise.

Responsibilities include processing receipts, validating against POs and packing lists, maintaining WMS records, leading the receiving team, and addressing any vendor issues. Forklift operation and safety are required.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse receiving experience is required.
• Experience with inventory/cycle counting and WMS is a plus.
• Able to read item codes, packing lists, POs and invoices.
• Forklift certification is required; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Process the receipt of incoming shipments daily.
• Verify merchandise against POs and packing lists and check for damage.
• Enter and maintain receiving and inventory records in the warehouse management system.
• Identify, separate, label, palletize merchandise and direct replenishment of pick locations.
• Identify and communicate damages, shortages, overages, or vendor issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Assist in processing and documenting returns to vendors.
• Operate a forklift or other material handling equipment as needed.
• Keep the receiving area dock and staging areas organized, clean and safe.
• Meet safety, productivity and quality standards for the receiving team.
• Perform other duties such as kitting, boxing, cycle-count inventory and stock inspection.
• All other duties as assigned.
