Job summary

RK Supply in Hobbs, NM seeks a Receiving Lead to oversee all inbound receiving operations, ensuring accurate and cost-effective intake of products. The role leads the receiving team and coordinates with shipping, inventory, transportation, and customer service to support overall distribution center performance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in distribution/warehouse roles with supervisory experience, strong ERP/WMS understanding, and proven leadership and communication skills to drive safety

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years distribution center or warehouse experience with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of receiving processes, freight handling, and carrier communication.
• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily inbound operations, including unloading, staging, check-ins, and put away.
• Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate receiving team members to ensure productivity and accuracy.
• Ensure purchase orders and transfer orders are received accurately and on time.
• Coordinate receiving schedules with vendors and internal departments.
• Monitor workflow and labor allocation to meet daily volume and service-level expectations.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA standards; promote a safety culture.
• Maintain receiving documentation, bill of lading, and ERP/WMS transactions.
• Identify and resolve receiving discrepancies, damages, shortages, and delivery issues.
• Support inventory accuracy through proper handling and receipt confirmation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist with performance metrics, reporting, and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily inbound operations, including unloading, staging, check-ins, and put away.
• Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate receiving team members to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
• Ensure all purchase orders and transfer orders are received accurately, on time, and in compliance with company, customer, and carrier requirements.
• Coordinate receiving schedules with vendor providers and internal departments.
• Monitor workflow and labor allocation to meet daily volume and service-level expectations.
• Enforce all safety policies, OSHA standards, and company procedures; promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate receiving documentation, bill of lading, and system transactions within the ERP/WMS.
• Identify and resolve receiving discrepancies, damages, shortages, and delivery discrepancies.
