Job summary

L B & K Inc is seeking an Industrial Door & Dock Equipment Laborer in the Stevenson Ranch area. You will join a fast-paced team delivering high-quality service and installation across Southern and Central California.

This role offers growth into lead installer and foreman positions, with training and development opportunities. Expect work at large warehouses and distribution facilities with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
  • Previous construction, industrial labor, or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work daily.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn fast.
  • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial doors and dock equipment.
  • Help with jobsite layout, setup, cleanup, and material handling.
  • Work closely with lead foremen and learn quickly in the field.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company/jobsite requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, anchors, and installation equipment properly.
  • Learn to complete daily logs, time tracking, and job reporting using TeamUp and GoCanvas apps.
  • Help complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
  • Represent the company professionally on customer sites.

NOW HIRING – INDUSTRIAL DOOR & DOCK EQUIPMENT LABORERS Stevenson Ranch Area | Growth Opportunity Into Lead Positions

About the Role:

Join L B & K Inc as an Industrial Door & Dock Equipment Laborer in the Stevenson Ranch area! Become part of a fast-paced, highly efficient team dedicated to delivering high-quality service and installation solutions throughout Southern and Central California.

This is not just a labor position — we are looking for individuals who want to learn the trade, grow quickly, and eventually become lead installers and foremen themselves.

Most work will be performed at large warehouse and distribution facilities installing and servicing shipping & receiving dock equipment.

What We Do

We install and service:

  • Industrial & commercial doors
  • Dock levelers
  • Dock shelters & seals
  • EODs (Edge of Dock levelers)
  • Warehouse dock safety equipment
Work Area

Most projects are located:

  • North Los Angeles area and upward toward Northern California
  • Generally within about 1+ hour north of Stevenson Ranch
  • Some early starts and occasional overnight travel may be required depending on project location

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep up with experienced crews
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand/power tools
  • Experience with Makita, Hilti, anchoring systems, or concrete fastening is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Employees must also be willing to obtain certifications through our company, including:

  • CPR / First Aid
  • Fall Protection
  • Scissor Lift
  • Forklift Certifications

Welding certifications are a HUGE plus and may increase starting pay.

Professionalism Expected

We work for large national companies and distribution facilities.

Employees must:

  • Keep phones put away while working
  • Never take unauthorized photos/videos onsite
  • Handle themselves professionally at all times
  • Stay calm around stressed or unhappy customers
  • Understand customer communication is generally handled by foremen until advancement into leadership roles
