Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Receiving Clerk to support distribution operations by logging in-coming purchase orders, auditing receiving paperwork, and helping ensure stores are stocked and merchandise is free from defects.

The role uses distribution software, scans and files packets, calls vendors for packing lists and freight bills, and operates forklifts or pallet jacks to move heavy items as needed. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lb and work in a distribution/warehouse.
• Basic math and reading comprehension; basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Log incoming purchase orders and audit receiving paperwork for accuracy.
• Assist inventory to ensure stores are stocked and merchandise is defect-free.
• Call vendors for packing lists and freight bills; maintain filing system.
• Operate distribution computer systems to control merchandise flow.
• Unload/load heavy/large merchandise using power equipment as needed.
