Job summary

LISI AEROSPACE NORTH AMERICA in Torrance, CA is seeking a detail-oriented shipping/receiving clerk to verify and document incoming shipments and coordinate related logistics. You will inspect, record, and route materials, ensuring accurate inventory and timely delivery to production lines within a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets) and familiarity with inventory records; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or more than 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with shipping and receiving procedures.
• Knowledge of Word Processing and Spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Verify contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipment.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes of incoming materials.
• Confer and correspond with Purchasing to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
• Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
