Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Receiving Associate in Heath, OH to load/unload shipments, prepare merchandise, and manage stock for the sales floor. You will process orders, use scan guns, and ensure accurate receiving records while maintaining safety and organization in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will work with the receiving team to manage transfers, control inventory levels, and support overall store operations, contributing to our people-first, growth-driven culture.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stay flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Proven track record of accurate, error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems to assist customers and manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments, divide them for storage or movement to the sales area.
• Unpack, prepare merchandise, set up displays, and check in inventory.
• Maintain accurate merchandising and stock levels for apparel and other items.
• Process purchase orders per SOPs and use scan guns for receipt documentation.
• Monitor shortages and discrepancies, file receiving paperwork daily.
• Support DC truck sorting, verify vendor price tags, and ensure proper tagging.
• Assist with store-to-store transfers, shipping, and receiving; help inventory on the sales floor.
• Maintain organized, safe work environment and participate in cross-training.
