Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement across the store. You will receive shipments, process purchase orders, verify inventory, sort freight, and replenish floor stock.

The role requires familiarity with scanners, computer systems, and warehouse procedures. You’ll work in a fast-paced store environment, collaborate with teams, and uphold Rural King values of People First and Integrity.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving/warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to follow procedures and meet productivity expectations.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify discrepancies and communicate PO, DC, and vendor issues.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and investigate negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight to the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with floor inventory during peak periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging and rack organization.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Keep receiving area clean, organized, and safe.
• Support other store departments as needed.
