Job summary

Rural King in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. You will receive shipments, process purchase orders, verify inventory, and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.

The role requires 1+ year of receiving or related experience, comfort with scan guns and inventory systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year receiving/warehouse/inventory experience required or preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders and shipping/receiving preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders per SOP.
• Document receipts and inventory using scan guns and computer systems.
• Identify discrepancies with PO, DC, and vendors.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and resolve negative inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload and organize freight; replenish merchandise on the floor.
• Assist with store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, ladders safely.
