Job summary

Abbott Nutrition, located in Altavista, VA, is seeking an Operator Warehouse Receiving to handle material storage, picking, and receiving tasks in our nutrition manufacturing plant. This role supports FEFO processes, ensures accurate material records, and maintains safe and compliant warehouse operations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain a forklift license. Preference given to candidates with Warehouse Management System experience and basic PC skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate and obtain a forklift driver’s license.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (preferred).
• Proficient with basic PC software and everyday computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Use Cambar/MITS system to support FEFO for finished goods and raw materials.
• Store, pick, or assemble materials, verifying commodity numbers, quantities, release status and lot numbers.
• Cross-check materials with packaging lists, invoices, and freight bills for accuracy.
• Store raw materials in assigned warehouse areas.
• Remove visibly damaged products before storage.
• Label and receive raw materials into the MITs system.
• Stage and manage label control per work order.
