Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Altavista, VA, at the Nutrition Distribution Center, is seeking a warehouse specialist. You will handle receiving, put-away, and shipping tasks, creating precise documentation, entering data, and moving pallets using palletizer equipment.

The role includes adherence to FDA/OSHA and Abbott policies and working on the 2nd shift to support continuous operations. As part of the Abbott Nutrition team, you will contribute to ensuring accurate inventory and smooth production flow

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• CDL preferred.
• Ability to perform data entry and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Receiving operations: document clearly, enter data accurately, maintain databases, process inbound pallets.
• Loading, unloading, case-picking, barcoding and palletizer tasks with safe, efficient execution.
• Shipping/receiving office duties: ensure accurate documentation and sign-off with carrier drivers.
• Store / pick / assemble raw materials, verify lot numbers and quantities against documents.
• Maintain clean warehouse areas and comply with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies.
