Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Receiving Forklift Operator for the 1st shift. The role runs Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:00pm with overtime on Saturdays and offers a full-time schedule and benefits after a 90-day evaluation period.

Key duties include operating various forklift equipment, moving and stacking pallets, and performing cycle counts to support inventory control while adhering to safety guidelines and using proper safety shoes.

Qualifications

• 6 months previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to work at heights of 30+ feet.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a turret, cherry picker, stand-up forklift, and walkie stacker.
• Down stacking pallets, stowing product, and moving product throughout the facility.
• Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned, both on and off the powered equipment.
• Follow all safety guidelines – safety shoes required.

Path to Permanent Employment:
