Job summary

Ventura Foods in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a Receiving Forklift Operator to unload trailers, place inbound goods into inventory, and unload with efficiency. This hourly, onsite role requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

You will follow FIFO, keep accurate paperwork, and support production with packaging needs while adhering to SQF, FSMA, and general food safety policies.

• Forklift certified by Ventura Foods.

• Support production lines by supplying them with necessary packaging.

• Follow locator system policies.
• Follow all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including SQF, FSMA and Preventive Controls.

Position Summary:

Unloads raw materials from trailers and ensuring products received are put into inventory and put away in proper location.

Responsible for following all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criterion including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated Preventive Controls and safety programs.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Must have good reading, writing and math skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

Individual must be forklift certified by Ventura Foods and able to physically perform tasks required of position.

• Hourly starting rate of $$25.65 with opportunities for hourly rate increases and career progression. Positions on 2nd and 3rd shifts are eligible for a $0.25/hr shift differential.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:
