Job summary

Ventura Foods in Albert Lea, MN, is seeking a Line Operator, Break Relief, for onsite work on the second shift. The hourly pay rate is $24.39, with a $0.25/hr differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The role supports production by providing manpower across multiple areas, performing proper area/job documentation, and upholding food safety policies, including SQF, GMPs, FSMA and preventive controls. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; training will be provided to meet operation needs.

Position Summary:

Utility personnel will be utilized to fill routine vacancies created due to operational needs, sickness, or vacations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide necessary manpower in multiple areas and at various skill levels within operation.

Perform proper documentation of area/job assigned to.

Responsible for following all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criterion including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated Preventive Controls and safety programs.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:

Individual must be able to operate a wide variety of equipment and able to physically perform jobs available within facility. Training will be provided as required to meet operation’s needs.

• Hourly starting rate of $$24.39 with opportunities for hourly rate increases and career progression. Positions on 2nd and 3rd shifts are eligible for a $0.25/hr shift differential.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:

• Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;
• Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used inoperations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
