Job summary

Leigh Fibers, LLC is seeking a Fork Truck Operator to support our Spartanburg, SC warehouse. Working Monday through Friday, you will load/unload trucks, locate materials, and report inventory movements using RF scanners and a warehouse management system.

The role requires at least six months of forklift experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Overtime, training in multiple areas, and a clean, safe work environment are expected. Salary up to $16/hour DOE.

Weekday Shift: 1st Monday - Friday (40 hours)

Become an essential part of our fast-paced warehouse facilities. Tasks include truck loading / unloading, material location accuracy, properly reporting inventory movements.

Key Responsibilities

Fork Truck Operator

Utilize computerized warehouse management systems and radio frequency scanners to process all barcoded products

Identify and communicate exceptions to the leadership team

Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Accurately record production by task and complete any necessary paperwork

Ability to work overtime as needed

Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas

Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns

Work safely and maintain a clean work environment

Other duties as assigned

Essential Physical Functions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

regularly required to talk or hear; sit, stand or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push and pull for up to twelve (10) hours/day

able to work safely

able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

able to reliably attend work/scheduled hours

required to safely operate power industrial equipment as noted above

occasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
