Hydro North America in Yankton, SD is seeking a warehouse associate to join our night shift. You will implement reliability standards, load shipments, and support inventory control while maintaining a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

The role requires reading measurements, basic math, and strong teamwork with all shifts. CDL is a plus; competitive hourly pay and company benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to read and use a tape measure with feet/inches.
• Able to work 8/10/12 hour rotating shifts, overtime, weekends/holidays.
• Able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to perform basic math operations.
• Able to perform basic computer skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with all employees.

Responsabilités

• Implement, sponsor, and support reliability improvement standards.
• Complete all related safety training.
• Maintain safety for self and coworkers.
• Work with carriers.
• Load outgoing LTL shipments.
• Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Pursue 5S in warehouse processes.
• Be part of inventory reduction initiatives.
• Operate phone/intercom systems.

Starting Rate of pay: $18.75 - $24 depends on experience

Shift Available and Hours: 3pm -11pm (Monday -Friday)

What you will be doing

• Implement, sponsor, and support all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
• Complete all related safety training.
• Safety of themselves and those that work with them.
• Ability to work with carriers.
• Loading outgoing LTL shipments.
• Help with inventory control.
• Maintain cycle counts.
• Work towards continues 5S with in the warehouse.
• Be part of the warehouse inventory reduction team.
• Phone and intercom system.

Required Education/Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Ability o read and use a tape measure that shows measuremets in feet and inches.
• Ability to work 8, 10, 12 hour rotating shifts depending on shift availability, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• Previous manufacturing experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
• Ability to perform basic computer application skills.
• Ability to communicate (both written & verbal) and work well with all employees at all levels, willing to learn new process and work with limited supervision.

Preferred Skills/Qialifications:

• Must be able to be forklift certified, CDL preferred but not required.
• Employee must have good vision or corrective lens to see visual defects.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
