Job summary

KOCH FOODS in Morton, MS is recruiting for a receiving/clerk role responsible for receiving, inspecting and recording shipments of raw materials. The position requires forklift operation, accurate inspection, labeling and inventory support in a fast-paced environment.

Experience as a receiving clerk and forklift operation with certification eligibility are preferred. This role involves handling varying weather conditions and is on-site with opportunities for growth within the company.

• Receiving clerk experience in a similar environment preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts and ability to obtain certification required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and record shipments of raw material.
• Unload packages using a forklift.
• Inspect contents, ensuring accuracy and checking for damage.
• Label deliveries and allocate to designated destination.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with inventory control.
• All other relevant tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements

The work environment is dictated by the weather – hot, cold, wet, dry, etc. Most deliveries will be in areas outside of the main production area, but we may need to include those areas in the event an exception has to be made with an item.

• Occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
• May be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• May be exposed to damp, wet, and cold environments.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
