Job summary

KOCH FOODS secures a position for a material handler responsible for unloading materials, transferring ingredients to grinding/batching bins, inspecting quality, and directing goods to correct destinations. The role includes completing reports and handling related tasks, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Work is performed on-site with exposure to production environments; forklift operation is required and certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation required; certification preferred.
• Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment and operations required.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming materials and transfer ingredients to grinding and batching bins.
• Inspect incoming material and verify condition and quality of product.
• Ensure received products are directed to proper bins, tanks, etc.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
• All other relevant tasks to the job.

Job description

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and carry 50+ lbs.
• Stand 8+ hours throughout work day.
• Regularly work in confined spaces.
• Regularly climb, work and balance on high, elevated platforms.
• Work in hot and cold temperatures, with exposure to dusty conditions and airborne particles.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
