Job summary

Herff Jones, based in Indianapolis, is seeking a Receiving Clerk to join our Shipping & Receiving team. In this on-site role you will help unload trailers, verify and check-in materials, and distribute products throughout the facility.

You will process daily orders to UPS or FedEx, report inventory levels, input records into the Inventory Management System, and support other duties as needed. A high school diploma and 1–2 years in a similar shipping role are required, with English literacy and

Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately shipping and receiving customer orders.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Assist in unloading trailers as they arrive
• Document and check-in materials and products that are received
• Distribute products throughout the facility
• Move materials throughout the Plant and Warehouse
• Receives daily completed orders and processes all packages to UPS, Federal Express or any other means as directed by management daily
• Reports all inventory levels of shipping materials to the Lead person such as boxes, tape, etc
• Performs all other miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Document and input inventory records into the Inventory Management System

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in similar shipping position
• Ability to read and write in English is required
• Must be able to work overtime and on Saturdays during busy seasons
• Ability to establish priorities and work independently
• Proficient computer skills - sending e-mails, working with word processing and spreadsheet software programs (Microsoft Word and Excel skills are a plus)
• Strong communication skills
• Multi-tasking skills
