Key Responsibilities: As a Receiving Clerk at dnata Catering, you will be an essential part of our supply chain operations. Your primary responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments of food, beverages, and other supplies. Your attention to detail and accuracy will ensure all items meet our quality standards and are properly stored. You will also collaborate with various departments to address discrepancies or issues with deliveries. You Will

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accept deliveries from suppliers, check delivery against purchase order for accuracy & quality, broken or missing items, notify if incorrect, fill out documentation.
• Assist in breaking down skids and putting away raw materials.
• Fill requisitions from stock/warehouse promptly, including food and non-food items, dry and wet goods.
• Restock, move, and rotate stock within storage areas (refrigerated and non-refrigerated).
• Break down refuse containers for disposal.
• Maintain clean storage areas daily; clean up spillage and breakage.
• Work as a team player, collaborating with supervision at all levels.
• Work safely to prevent accidents.
• Assist with inventory checking and auditing when required.
• Comply with HACCP/GMP and food handling policies.
• Pack racks and ovens as needed.
• Keep walk-in areas organized and clean.
• Receive all goods entering the unit and put them away.
• Assist kitchen staff with items needed.
• Ensure all purchase orders are completed correctly.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Compensation

Salary is approximately $19.98 per hour, influenced by experience, qualifications, training, and location. Includes medical insurance at no cost for the employee.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience entering data into an ERP system.
• Knowledge of inventory management and LIFO/FIFO.
• Ability to work in refrigerated storage areas.
• Physical ability to move stock using hand trucks, lifts, pallet movers.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior warehouse/storeroom experience.

Demands and Environment

Requires multitasking under time constraints, attention to detail, punctuality, and safety awareness. Physically, must stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 30 pounds. Work environment is indoors, with noise levels ranging from minimal to loud.
