Job description

The F&B Purchasing and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all food, beverage, and non-food deliveries are received, inspected, and match the purchase orders; logging all incoming and outgoing guest packages; maintaining an organized filing system for purchase orders and delivery statuses; conducting inventories of storerooms and coolers to ensure adequate supplies; and promptly reviewing and fulfilling department requisitions.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience preferred.
  • Progressive experience in a hotel environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to operate hotel computerized purchasing and inventory systems.
  • Effective communication skills to clearly convey information and ideas.
  • Ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Problem-solving skills to anticipate, prevent, identify, and resolve workplace issues.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt accordingly.
  • Active listening skills to understand and clarify concerns of coworkers and guests.
  • Basic understanding of financial data and arithmetic functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented interactions with guests and staff.
  • Maintain regular attendance as per Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Adhere to high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
  • Follow Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Be attentive, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and colleagues.
  • Respond promptly to calls from the department, vendors, guests, and employees.
  • Assist with preparing interdepartmental and external correspondence.
  • Ensure proper receiving procedures to maintain product freshness.
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintaining office supplies.
  • Keep loading dock, storeroom, refrigerator, and freezer areas clean and organized.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
