Memorial Hospital - Chattanooga is seeking a Receiving Clerk to accurately receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments. You will verify contents against purchase orders, report discrepancies, and organize goods for distribution or storage.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organization, and reliable inventory record-keeping to support smooth hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED, upon hire.
• Two years supply chain related experience.

Responsibilities

• Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributors/vendors and assists in unloading shipments from delivery trucks.
• Uses dollies, forklifts and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around the stockroom.
• Opens boxes and inspects contents of shipments, contacting buyers to resolve shipment discrepancies and processing returns for any defective or incorrect items.
• Stores, restocks and shelves delivery items as necessary and ensures that the stockroom is clean and organized.
• Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location.
• Maintains records of all received shipment and contacts distributors/vendors directly or works with buyers to inquire about any shipment issues.
• Addresses and answers clinical staff inquiries about pending orders and shipments.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
