You will verify packing slips, maintain inventory records, and stock items while rotating stock and preventing expired items from remaining in use. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least two years of experience working in a warehouse or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack or forklift preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management is preferred.
  • Driver's license in good standing is required.
  • Experience with Cerner is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in receiving preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify packing slips against purchase orders and receive goods.
  • Maintain tracking information for non-PO items from carriers.
  • Assist with outgoing shipping and delivery of requisitions.
  • Audit requisitions for item accuracy before inventory adjustments.
  • Audit dispensing machines to ensure proper counts and PAR levels.
  • Match inventory to records and ensure proper item locations within 48 hours.
  • Stock and rotate received items, ensuring expired items are removed.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.

Job Summary

Responsible for receiving and inventory management tasks. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse. Assist with maintaining inventory, stocking shelves, rotating stock, picking and delivering requisitions and supplies as needed.

Working Conditions
  • General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
  • May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
  • May be required to change from one task to another or different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
  • May be scheduled as needed including overtime.
Physical Requirements & Demands
  • Have near normal hearing: Hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice.
  • Have near normal vision: Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors.
  • Have good manual dexterity.
  • Have good eye-hand foot coordination.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motion.
  • Continuously within shift (67-100%): Standing, Walking.

Job Specific Competencies
  • Verifies all packing slips against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and receives goods through the computerized materials management system.
  • Maintain tracking information for non-PO items received from UPS, FedEx, and truck lines through delivery.
  • Assist with outgoing shipping to include UPS, FedEx, and truck lines.
  • Audit requisitions to ensure accuracy of items prior to inventory adjustment and delivery.
  • Audit supply dispensing machines to ensure proper count and ensure appropriate PAR levels are set and items stocked and maintained.
  • Marking expiration dates on items with expiration dates received for stock replacement in the Supply Chain department.
  • Assist with ensuring that, after items are received, items in Supply Chain maintained inventory are stocked in the correct location within 48 hours.
  • Inputs and updates received items into expiration date tracking.
  • Removes requisitioned items from inventory prior to delivery.
  • Provide support for other warehouse functions with Supply Chain as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Perform daily walkthroughs to ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Perform daily equipment checks to ensure warehouse equipment is safe and operating correctly.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections for department vehicles to ensure vehicles are safe and well-maintained.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Stock received items, tag items based on expiration dates, and remove expired items as needed.
  • Accurately match physical inventory items to inventory records and requisitions, reviewing for accuracy, proper specifications, and appropriateness of need.
  • Recognizes needed changes in PAR levels due to recent usage and communicates needs to manager.
  • Rotates stock and ensure no items are out of date.
  • Organize orders and deliver in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Effectively manage time and competing priorities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relations with managers, co-workers, other employees, and vendors.
  • Require minimal supervision in performance of job duties; is a self-starter. Prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.
  • Assist with tasks in the Supply Chain Department that are not within the job description.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • At least two years of experience working in a warehouse or in the healthcare environment preferred.
  • Experience utilizing warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack or forklift preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management is preferred.
  • Driver's license in good standing is required.
  • Experience with Cerner is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in receiving preferred.
