Job summary

Gordon Food Service Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Receiving Clerk to manage receiving schedules for dry, frozen, or perishable products. You will assign loads to doors, balance purchase orders, and process freight handling, billing, and payments.

Starting hourly rate is $19.52 with increases to $19.91 at 6 months and a max rate of $23.42. Candidates must read/write in English, have PIV certification, and be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• English literacy required to read labels, lists, signage and company information.
• Prior experience preferred but not required.

Receiving Clerk

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers; our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a Receiving Clerk, you’ll be essential in receiving schedules for dry, frozen, or perishable products. You’ll assign loads to doors, balances, purchase orders, and process freight handling, billing, and payments.

Starting Hourly Rate $19.52 with an increase to $19.91 at 6 months. The hourly max rate is $23.42. (All employees start out at the minimum rate)

• Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year

Work Schedule

• Sunday start time 4:00am-12:00pm
• Monday-Thursday 5:00am-1:00pm

Does this look like you?

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification is required.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check
• Prior experience preferred, but not required.
