Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations by handling schedules for dry, frozen, or perishable products and by coordinating loads and purchase orders. You will process freight handling, billing, and payments while ensuring accurate reading of labels and adherence to instructions.

Starting pay is $19.52 per hour with raises to $19.91 at six months and a max rate of $23.42; two raises are available within the first year, with benefits, weekly pay, and

• Must be 18 years or older and able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and a background check.
• Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive schedules for dry, frozen, or perishable products.
• Assign loads to doors, balance purchase orders, and process freight handling.
• Assist with billing and payments related to shipments.
• Read labels, scanners, and signage; follow verbal and written instructions.

Receiving Clerk

Location: address

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers; our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a Receiving Clerk, you'll be essential in receiving schedules for dry, frozen, or perishable products. You'll assign loads to doors, balances, purchase orders, and process freight handling, billing, and payments.

Starting Hourly Rate $19.52 with an increase to $19.91 at 6 months.The hourly max rate is $23.42. (All employees start out at the minimum rate)

• Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year

Work Schedule

• Sunday start time 4:00am-12:00pm

• Monday-Thursday 5:00am-1:00pm

Does this look like you?

• You must be 18 years of age or older.

• Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification is required.

• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).

• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check

• Prior experience preferred, but not required.
