Job summary

Clean Harbors Incineration unit is seeking a Receiving Chemist for our Cincinnati, OH facility who will be responsible for drum receiving/coding, data entry, and related warehouse duties, including forklift work. Shift: Weekend (Sat-Mon) 5am-5pm, with up to $34 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include sample preparation, basic chemical analyses, waste tracking via WIN software, and ensuring safety and SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Warehouse, Quality Control, Chemical Handling, Laboratory, or Inventory Management preferred.
• Forklift operating experience a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
• Climb on and off forklifts.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to waste containers.
• Climb ladders and reach overhead as part of duties.
• 20/20 eyesight or corrective lenses; depth perception critical.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety as the top priority and follows safe work practices.
• Receives all incoming containers and assigns proper disposal codes or outbound profiles.
• Samples incoming containers and performs basic chemical analysis per procedures.
• Completes paperwork for consolidation and performs waste tracking in WIN software.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of SOPs.
• Operates forklift to offload/reload drums and transport containers.
• Calibrates lab instrumentation for basic analysis and completes related paperwork.
• Communicates critical information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Tracks containers in WIN with barcode scanners.
