Job summary

Prairie Meadows Casino Racetrack and Hotel is seeking a Receiving and Distribution Clerk to join our warehouse team in Altoona, IA. You will monitor shipments, process orders, and ensure proper storage and rotation of products while maintaining accuracy in receipts.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable lifting ability (up to 90 lbs) and willingness to work weekends and varied hours. Prior warehouse experience and strong math and communication skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior warehouse/inventory experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Strong math skills and high attention to detail are a plus.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to walk/stand for eight hours and lift 90 lbs.
• Push carts up to 150 lbs. and work weekends/holidays/varied hours.

As a receiving and distribution clerk at Prairie Meadows Casino Racetrack and Hotel, you’ll monitor shipments and process orders in our warehouse.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

• Make sure products are stored correctly and rotation procedures and protocols are followed
• Check all invoices and purchase orders by count and item upon delivery
• Verify received products and distribute products to designated areas

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse and inventory experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and meet company insurance requirements. Strong math skills and high attention to detail a plus. Experience operating various warehouse equipment, pallet trucks, and hand jacks preferred. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to walk and/or stand for eight-hour periods. Ability to lift 90 lbs. and push carts up to 150lbs. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours.
