Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to manage Direct Store Delivery operations, ensuring accurate receiving, tracking, and stocking of merchandise.

The role involves daily store-floor scanning, identifying out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and collaborating with store teams to maintain inventory integrity. The ICC will monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise, process returns for credit, and uphold a clean, secure backroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in a retail or grocery setting.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Attention to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain backroom cleanliness, security, and order in receiving areas.
• Problem-solving ability to independently resolve inventory and delivery issues.
• Effective communication with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and associates.

Job description

A Day in the Life:

As a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC), you’ll be overseeing all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring merchandise is accurately received, accounted for, and stocked. You’ll walk the store daily to scan DSD items, identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and partner closely with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You’ll also communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution. Your role includes monitoring donations, managing grocery and non-perishable inventories, and maintaining a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment. If you’re detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, this role offers a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully to store operations.

• Inventory Management Skills: Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory, especially in a retail or grocery environment.
