Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations.

You will ensure accurate receiving, counting, and stocking of merchandise, and walk the store daily to scan items and identify stock issues. You will collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the Store Director to maintain inventory accuracy and execute promotions.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail/grocery.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel, familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.
• Maintain cleanliness, security, and order in backroom and receiving areas.
• Capable of independent decision-making and resolving inventory/delivery issues.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers, store management, and associates.

Job description

A Day in the Life:

As a Receiver / Inventory Control Supervisor, you’ll be overseeing all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring merchandise is accurately received, accounted for, and stocked. You’ll walk the store daily to scan DSD items, identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and partner closely with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You’ll also communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution. Your role includes monitoring donations, managing grocery and non-perishable inventories, and maintaining a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment. If you’re detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, this role offers a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully to store operations.

What you bring to the table:

• Inventory Management Skills: Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory, especially in a retail or grocery environment.
