Job summary

Elevate Human Capital is seeking a Receiver for a client in the south Houston, TX area to perform stock receipt, processing and organized storage of materials.

Day shift with responsibilities including unloading, checking in, stocking, and maintaining inventory accuracy while upholding safety rules and a clean, orderly warehouse.

Candidates should have 1–2 years warehouse shipping/receiving experience and be able to operate sit-down forklifts and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist unloading trucks and validate merchandise prior to stocking.

Job description

EHC is currently looking for a Receiver for a client in the south Houston, TX area.

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, or managing, organizing, consolidating and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Day Shift

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to two years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving
• Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
• Experience in operating warehouse machinery (sit-down lift, cherry picker, reach truck, etc.)
• Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist warehouse unloading trucks and checking in and validating merchandise prior to stocking
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
• Perform systematically any inventory stocking moves to ensure system accuracy

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
