Job summary

Elevate Human Capital is seeking a Warehouse Packer for a client in the south Houston, TX area. The role supports shipping and receiving operations, with hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, organizing items on racks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while wearing required safety gear. Candidates must pass background and drug screenings and be able to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• One to two years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Strict adherence to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment; keep shelves, pallet area and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop.
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times.
• Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor/manager.

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with additional overtime as necessary

• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
• Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, sweep, dust, and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
