Job summary

The Woodstock Recreation Department is seeking a Rec Center Attendant for a limited part-time role to supervise and support a safe, welcoming drop-in environment for children.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 am–11:00 am, with occasional evenings (4:00 pm–7:00 pm) and Saturdays (7:45 am–10:30 am). Pay is $16.94/hour, up to 20 hours/week, with a free Recreation Center membership and prorated sick leave after 100 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and DCFS Mandated Reporter Certifications at hire.

The City of Woodstock is pleased to be recruiting for a limited part-time position with the Woodstock Recreation Department.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for facilitating a safe and healthy short-term drop-in recreation environment that promotes safe, healthy activities and positive play options for children.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 11:00 am

With the possibility of occasional evenings (4:00 pm - 7:00 pm) and Saturdays (7:45 am - 10:30 am).

Minimum Required Qualifications

• 16 years of age and older.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and DCFS Mandated Reporter Certifications upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous childcare or classroom experience.

Salary & Benefits

The starting pay rate for this limited part-time, non-exempt/hourly position is $16.94. The position will work no more than 20 hours per week on average. There are no additional benefits with the exception of a free Recreation Center membership and accrued sick leave in the amount of one hour for every 40 hours worked on a prorated basis and available for use after 100 calendar days of employment.
