Job summary

The City of Woodstock, Illinois, is hiring a part-time Aquatics Supervisor to support the Woodstock Recreation Department. You will plan, supervise, and prepare all general programs and special events, including youth, adult, early childhood, and Playground Program offerings.

The role focuses on operations, program coordination, and event execution with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of aquatic management experience.
• 21+ years old preferred.
• Certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Lifeguard Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor Trainer and Water Safety Instructor Trainer preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The City of Woodstock is pleased to be recruiting for a part-time Aquatics Supervisor with the Woodstock Recreation Department.

This position is responsible to provide general programming operational support to the Woodstock Recreation Department. This position is responsible for planning, supervising, and preparing all general programs and special events offered by the Department; including youth, adult, early childhood, and Playground Program (PGPG) offerings.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years previous aquatic management experience.
• 21 years old and older preferred.
• Certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or ability to obtain within 6-month probationary period.
• Lifeguard Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor Trainer and Water Safety Instructor Trainer preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

The positions is a part-time, non-exempt/hourly position with a starting rate of pay of $28.04 and will work no more than an average of 28 hours per week. Benefits include an IMRF pension, prorated vacation, holiday, and sick time, decreasing term life insurance, choice of two (2) optional employee paid vision insurance plans and a free Woodstock Recreation Center membership.
