Job summary

United Concrete Inc recruiting a Rebar Tack Welder for our precast concrete manufacturing team in Wallingford, CT. This 1st shift position runs 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM until 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with Saturday half-day.

Responsibilities include tack welding rebar into cages and assemblies per blueprints, inspecting welds for quality, operating MIG equipment, and meeting daily production quotas while maintaining a safe, clean work space in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience.
• Open to candidates straight out of welding school or with 1-2 years of experience.
• Prior experience in a manual labor environment preferred but not required.
• Must read a tape measure accurately and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Dependable with respect to attendance and tardiness.
• Protective toe footwear is required.
