Qualifications

• Typically requires 48 months of industrial construction experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and elevations.
• Experience reinforcing bar and formwork components.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and elevations.
• Aid in rigging operations, connections and disconnections.
• Select rods, bundle, measures, cuts to length, bend, and shapes reinforcing bar to exacting specifications.
• Places rods in forms, spacing and fastening them together, using wire and pliers.
• Knowledge of weights of bar sizes per foot and diameters.
• Positions and secures steel bars in concrete forms and reinforces concrete.
• Cleans and performs minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
