Job summary

Darragh is seeking a General Labor professional to assist in the manufacturing of rebar in Birmingham, AL. You will operate machines to cut, bend, and shear rebar, and help move materials using an overhead crane.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with day shifts and on-site work. You will handle epoxy application and loading/unloading for shipping, with training and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with 0–3 months related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret English operating instructions and procedures.
• Able to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing software and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to manufacture reinforced steel bars to specifications.
• Operate overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material for fabrication or shipment.
• Apply epoxy to steel bars with a spray gun.
• Load and unload trailers for shipping and storage.
