Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Midwest is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare bids for reinforcing bars, mesh, and related products. You will work with takeoff software and estimating tools to produce accurate project quantities and pricing.

Ideal candidates will have a two-year technical degree and experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and other takeoff software, along with a strong understanding of structural drawings and CRSI/ACI standards.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings (structural/architectural/civil).
• Knowledge of CRSI/ACI standards.
• Proficient with aSa Estimating.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely estimates of quantities of fabricated reinforcing bars, mesh, accessories, and related products for bidding projects.
• Progress estimating skills and review plans to assess project scope and bidding strategy with guidance.
• Track plan revisions and bid updates against previous work.
• Communicate effectively with sales teammates during the estimating and bidding process.
• Perform self-reviews to verify scope, completeness, and accuracy.
• Adhere to NRF safety programs and standards.
