Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is hiring for a role in the rebar shop to build cages safely, accurately, and efficiently within an industrial indoor/outdoor manufacturing environment. The team follows blueprints and drawings, reading and interpreting instructions while handling prefabricated steel for storage and lifting operations.

The position emphasizes reading blueprints, following instructions, and communicating effectively with teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Build rebar cages according to drawings provided - tools supplied by the company.
• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
• Unload and stack prefabricated steel so that it can be lifted with slings.
• Assist or perform crane operations for storing reinforcing steel.
• Experience using rebar fabrication machinery a plus, but not required.
• Warehouse environment, all work is performed indoors (No travel required).
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
