Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking an entry-level to experienced worker for the rebar shop in Concord, NC. The role focuses on building rebar cages from drawings, following blueprints, and safely lifting and staging materials in a controlled indoor environment.

Key duties include crane-assisted handling, reading blueprints, and ensuring accuracy and safety. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and related experience; physical fitness to lift up to 40 lbs is

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and communicate with team.

Responsibilities

• Build rebar cages according to drawings provided using company tools.
• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
• Unload and stack prefabricated steel for lifting with slings.
• Assist or perform crane operations for storing reinforcing steel.
• Experience with rebar fabrication machinery is a plus.
• Work indoors in a warehouse environment with no travel required.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment. This individual will be part of a team working in the rebar shop to build cages safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Build rebar cages according to drawings provided - tools supplied by the company
• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions
• Unload and stack prefabricated steel so that it can be lifted with slings
• Assist or perform crane operations for storing reinforcing steel
• Experience using rebar fabrication machinery a plus, but not required
• Warehouse environment, all work is performed indoors (no travel required)
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
