Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Northeast in Plainville, CT, is seeking a CAD detailing technician to detail rebar for commercial and civil projects. You will verify drawings, prepare material lists, and collaborate with field teams to ensure accurate deliveries.

The role requires a CAD design/drafting certificate and at least one year of rebar detailing experience with a CAD-based detailing system. We offer competitive pay at $27.62/hr, Yearly ROA and Profit-Sharing bonuses, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting from an accredited school.
• At least one year of experience detailing rebar with CAD.
• Ability to work as a team member with problem-solving aptitude.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Time management and prioritization abilities.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and standards.
• Follow company vision and values.
• Develop knowledge of industry references (CRSI/ACI).
• Verify drawings, dates, specs, addenda from routing sheet or system.
• Detail complex projects (columns, beams, slabs, grade beams).
• Notify supervisor of contract document changes.
• Detail accessories, mesh, couplers, dowel bars; prepare material lists.
• Collaborate with site personnel to determine material delivery.
• Coordinate with architects/engineers on contract documents.
• Enter drawings into the drawing tracking system.
• Perform other duties as required.
