Job summary

JP Mascaro & Sons is seeking reliable Rear Load Drivers for its Allentown Division. You will operate rear load trash trucks, comply with DOT regulations, and service routes with courtesy and punctuality. Responsibilities include logging, weight tickets, and routine maintenance coordination.

This role requires a CDL Class B license, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Excellent safety practices and timely communication with dispatch are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid state commercial drivers license (CDL Class B or equivalent).
• Attention to detail to prevent damage to truck and equipment.
• Ability to sit in the truck cab for long periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
• Must meet DOT physical and medical requirements and pass drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate a rear load trash truck on assigned routes, servicing customers courteously and timely.
• Drive the truck according to DOT regulations and company policy.
• Check in with dispatch to ensure all stops are picked and obtain approval before returning.
• Obtain load weight tickets and sign for load.
• Maintain records such as driver logs, route sheets and work orders.
• Clean truck cab and body daily and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Report maintenance issues to the shop supervisor.
• May be required to fill in driving other trash vehicles when trained.
• Adhere to company policy and attendance requirements; notify of accidents or violations.
