Job summary

RGBSI seeks a highly motivated Rear Closures Core Engineering SME to develop and release technical requirements and strategy for moving rear closures. The role involves aligning with customers to meet performance expectations, with focus on cargo doors, liftgates, tailgates, and related mechanisms.

The candidate will craft core docs such as DVP&R, technical requirements, FMA, and strategies, covering sheet metal structures, hinges, latches, and system integration.

Qualifications

  • Draft technical specifications and requirements aligned to customer use cases.
  • Draft DFMEA and DVP documentation from scratch.
  • Develop products from concept through launch.
  • Create basic 3D models and analyze sections in CATIA V5.
  • Benchmark mass, size and features against competing designs.
  • Gather VOC data and translate into physics-based requirements.
  • Apply statics, dynamics and FBD concepts to mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and release technical requirements and strategy for rear closures.
  • Collaborate with internal/external customers to set performance expectations.
  • Produce core documentation like DVP&R, FMA, and technical strategies.
  • Address all aspects of rear closures including hinges, latches, and systems integration.
