Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC or Minneapolis/St. Paul seeks an experienced frontend developer to build a distributed web interface and real-time visualizations. You will collaborate on a rendering-heavy UI, contribute to an SDK, and shape scalable components for streaming data.

Requirements include 4+ years in frontend with JavaScript/React, WebGL experience, and US work authorization with clearance eligibility. Office-based role 3+ days/week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in frontend development using JavaScript and CSS.
• Well-versed in React.
• Competent in web performance testing and optimization.
• Understanding of basic software security standards.
• Active US Security clearance or ability and willingness to be sponsored for a US Security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience (nice to have).
• Experience with NodeJS and server side frameworks, such as Express (nice to have).
• Experience with WebGL, for both 2D and 3D renderings (nice to have).
• Experience with Typescript or Tailwind CSS (nice to have).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be based in Minneapolis/St. Paul or Washington, DC and work in-office 3+ days per week

Responsibilities

• Build the web interface exposing a highly distributed system of servers and edge devices for real-time decision making and post-processing analysis
• Build 2D and 3D animated visualizations of customer environments using graphs, geospatial maps, charts, and video/image playback
• Enable users to collaborate in real time while interacting with visualizations
• Contribute to an SDK allowing third parties to build applications for the system
• Build scalable UI components and APIs to serve, search, and visualize streaming and static data
• Contribute to graph-visualization libraries using modern web technologies such as WebGL, supporting animation, user interactions, and node-placement algorithms
• Build performant 3D interactive renderings of objects, locations, and the globe
