Job summary

Swoop Technologies is seeking a frontend engineer based in Minneapolis/St. Paul or Washington, DC to build scalable UI components and visualizations for a distributed system. You will create 2D/3D visuals of customer environments and enable real-time collaboration using modern web technologies.

The role emphasizes React, JavaScript, CSS, and WebGL, with a focus on performance and security. This hybrid position requires in-office presence 3+ days per week in the designated locales.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of frontend development experience using JavaScript and CSS.
• Well-versed in React.
• Competent in web performance testing and optimization.
• Understanding of basic software security standards.
• Active US Security clearance or ability and willingness to be sponsored for a US Security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable UI components and APIs to serve/search/visualize streaming and static data.
• Contribute to libraries to visualize graphs of connected nodes utilizing modern web technologies, such as WebGL, that supports animation, user interactions, and a variety of algorithms to determine placement of nodes.
• Utilize technologies to build performant 3D interactive renderings of objects, locations, and the globe.
