Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory is seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Engineer to help design, review, and evolve mission-critical distributed C2 systems for DoD applications. You’ll join a team of engineers tackling real-time problems to support the warfighter and advance tactical systems.

You will review circuit card assemblies, computing architectures, and system-level performance, contributing to design quality, integration, and test coverage in lab environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hardware design for digital and embedded systems.
  • Ability to review schematics, drawings and test procedures for quality and coverage.
  • Strong collaboration across engineering teams to meet mission requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review and contribute to the design and integration of complex digital hardware and embedded systems, with emphasis on circuit card assemblies, computing architectures, and system-level performance.
  • Review circuit card schematics, drawings, and test procedures, providing feedback to improve design quality and test coverage.
