Job summary

Hansen Consulting Group LLC seeks a Reality Capture Specialist and Drone Pilot to independently operate LiDAR scanning systems, capture construction progress, and produce 3D point clouds for project teams. You will collaborate with surveyors and stakeholders to document site conditions and support QA workflows.

You’ll develop SOPs, scan schedules, and deliver scan-based outputs while ensuring data is archived per client standards.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 or local remote pilot certification.
• Ability to capture, process, and QA 3D point cloud data.
• Familiarity with point cloud and BIM tools like NavVis IVION, ReCap, Navisworks, Revit.
• Working knowledge of survey control points and geolocating datasets.
• Experience coordinating with leadership, field teams, quality and PMs.

Responsibilities

• Project & Team Coordination
• Establish and manage SOPs, scanning schedules, frequencies, and scan-based workflows per client requirements.
• Reporting & Documentation: Generate project reports from reality data and track progress.
• Deliver point cloud outputs and ensure data archiving per client standards.
• Collaborate with surveyors to obtain control points for geolocated datasets.
• Act as technical advisor on LiDAR and aerial capture methodology and scan planning.
