Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Real World Data Programmer to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will focus on programming and managing real-world healthcare datasets that support evidence generation, research, and analytical decision-making. The ideal candidate will work with claims, EMR, and other structured healthcare data to turn raw inputs into analysis-ready resources. You will partner with research and analytics teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and documentation while contributing to broader data-driven initiatives across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Program and manage real-world healthcare datasets, including claims and EMR data
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and normalization
• Translate raw data into analysis-ready formats
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and programming documentation
• Provide analytical support to research teams
• Contribute to broader analytics projects as needed

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years of experience in real-world data usage
• Strong programming skills in SQL and R
• Proven direct experience with Real-World Data (RWD) management
• Hands-on experience with healthcare claims data
• Familiarity with EMR datasets
