Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a software engineer for its Air & Missile Defense Radar team in the United States. You will design and implement real-time tracking algorithms to detect and track dozens to hundreds of targets using C++ and Python.

Collaborate with radar engineers, optimize performance for latency-critical environments, and help validate tracking performance with modeling, simulation, and field testing. A TS/SCI clearance is required; prior defense industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Solid foundation in linear algebra, probability, statistics, and/or differential equations.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: design patterns, testing, version control, debugging.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking.
• Develop real-time software systems that process radar data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of targets.
• Build and leverage modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance.
• Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems.
• Optimize tracking software for latency-critical environments where milliseconds matter.
• Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers.
• Participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure deployment and effectiveness.
